Dive Tulamben

Tulamben has to be one of Bali's richest diving areas with many Tulamben dive sites in close proximity to Tulamben village.

Tulamben diving is most famous for the USS Liberty wreck which is located just off the beach. Lying in depths ranging from 3 to 30 meters, the wreck is covered in life that will excite even the most seasoned diver.

The Tulamben region is also host to a superb muck diving site, Seraya. This fantastic tulamben dive site is home to a fabulous family of halrequin shrimps along with a variety of frogfish and many nudibranchs.

There is also a host of other Tulamben dive sites in the immediate region that also offers superb photo and video opportunities.

Dive Tulamben - USS Liberty Wreck

The American ship USS Liberty is definitely Bali's most popular and accessible dive. This magnificent wreck from the Second World War is only a one minute swim from the shore in Tulamben. The wreck is covered in beautiful coral and is home to hundreds of different fish species. Located on black volcanic sand, she starts in about 5m of water and slopes down to 30m. She is about 120m long which makes her a pretty big wreck to dive. The wreck rarely experiences currents or swell so it is a great Tulamben dive for all level of divers. A resident school of big eye jacks lives on and around the wreck. These fish are not scared of divers and will allow you to approach very close.

Dive Tulamben - The Drop Off

This Tulamben dive site is located at the South end of Tulamben Bay. The easy shore entry allows you to walk in and then just swim along the black sand slope until you reach the drop off on the corner. The currents close to the wall attract all sorts of life. The wall itself is covered in coral, especially gorgonian fans. These fans are sometimes home to the pigmy seahorse. There is also a high probability that you will get some big fish action on this site. It is a good idea to keep an eye at into the blue as you might see manta's, hammerheads, dogtooth tuna and sometimes Mola Mola.

Dive Tulamben - Seraya

Macro heaven! This site is for those who really want to see, or photograph, some of Bali's rare treasures. Pipefish, harlequin shrimps, frogfish, are just some of what you might find. This is a very new site that not many people know about.

Dive Tulamben - Alamanda

Located at the corner of Tulamben bay is a wonderful Tulamben dive site, which we reach by local outrigger boats - the coral is very healthy, and the underwater topography is very interesting and well protected from the current. The striking difference between the white sand bottom and the array of hard corals makes it unlike anything else in this region. This dive does require some depth in order to get to the best of the life so it is really only for experienced divers.

It is time to Dive with the Mantas!
